Pre-Eng & Design

Pre-Engineering will give students the opportunity to investigate various aspects in engineering, with an emphasis in the areas of structural, civic, mechanical, aeronautical, and environmental engineering.á The course will follow the National Academies scientific and engineering practices including asking questions and defining problems, developing and using models, planning and carrying out investigations, analyzing and interpreting data using mathematics and computational thinking, developing explanations and designing solutions, engaging in argument from evidence, and obtaining, evaluation and communicating information. In order for students to be successful, they will conduct meaningful investigations in science and engineering.á This course will prepare students for life-long learning and for future science and engineering careers as they continue their studies in technical or university programs. This is a college preparatory (CP) level course, and will require written work reflective of a college bound student.
